The Cam­bridge Cen­tre pro­vides low-cost pub­li­ca­tions with high-val­ue con­tent, includ­ing a free copy of Lawrence Sherman’s 1998 Police Foun­da­tion Lec­ture Evi­dence-Based Polic­ing for any­one who reg­is­ters as an asso­ciate mem­ber. Sherman’s 2015 book will also be avail­able at a low price in both paper­back and elec­tron­ic read­er for­mats.

Oth­er pub­li­ca­tions will be includ­ed in the annu­al pay­ment for a full mem­ber­ship in the Cam­bridge Cen­tre, includ­ing break­ing news on research results, reports on new tests and tar­get­ing, case stud­ies of EBP suc­cess­es and evi­dence reviews.

  1. Presidential Task Force Interim Report

    On 24 Feb­ru­ary, 2015, Pro­fes­sor Sher­man tes­ti­fied before Pres­i­dent Barack Obama’s Task Force on 21st Cen­tu­ry Polic­ing. The Task Force seeks to iden­ti­fy best prac­tices and make rec­om­men­da­tions to the Pres­i­dent on how polic­ing prac­tices can pro­mote effec­tive crime reduc­tion while build­ing pub­lic trust and exam­ine, among oth­er issues, how to fos­ter strong, col­lab­o­ra­tive rela­tion­ships between local law enforce­ment and the com­mu­ni­ties they pro­tect.
